My name is Katrina Wright,
I’m a registered nurse with over twelve years of experience. But before that, and beyond all the credentials, I am a woman deeply rooted in connection.
Endings deserve just as much love, attention, and reverence as beginnings.
Born and trained in Canada, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked across hospitals in fast paced surgery wards to hospice, and other care settings where life and death often stand side by side. But no matter where I went, my heart always returned to end-of-life care. I saw how often patients and families were left to navigate death alone — confused, unprepared, and emotionally overwhelmed.
Even in hospice — the space that’s meant to be most sacred — I’ve witnessed firsthand how our medical system wasn’t built to gently hold your hand through this. It’s underfunded, overstretched, and doesn’t have time to sit with you and answer every hard, aching question. And yet, in the moments that matter most, you deserve more than a discharge folder and a list of symptoms to watch for.
We hire wedding planners to help us celebrate love. We turn to midwives to guide us through birth. We ask for help navigating the complex and emotional events of life. But when it comes to death — this one sacred moment we don’t get to do over — so many believe they must walk it alone.
But we weren’t meant to do this alone.
We are wired for community, for support, for presence.
That’s why I created Calm Endings.
Not as a nurse who treats you — but as a coach who walks beside you.
I don’t show up in scrubs. I show up with heart, tools, and steady guidance.
I offer clarity in chaos, peace where there’s panic, and a way forward where there’s fog.
This is what I do: I help you prepare. I help you understand. I help you release.
So you — or your loved one — can let go in calm, not in fear.
If you're here, you’re already taking one of the bravest steps.
It would be my deep honor to walk this journey with you.

No pressure, no commitment — just a safe, compassionate space to talk.

Nurse. Mother. Wife. Guide. Founder of Calm Endings.
Calm Endings is more than a course.
It’s a hand to hold, a roadmap when you’re lost, and a quiet voice reminding you — you don’t have to do this alone.
I created Calm Endings after years of witnessing the silence that surrounds death. We prepare for so many milestones in life — with books, checklists, celebrations, and support. But when it comes to the end? We’re often left to navigate it alone — confused, overwhelmed, and under-supported by a system that was never built to guide us through grief.
Calm Endings exists to change that.
This is a space for anyone walking through the sacred transition of death — whether you’re supporting a loved one, facing a terminal diagnosis, or planning ahead to ease the weight on your family. Here, you’ll find a blend of soulful education and practical guidance. Tools that help you organize what’s overwhelming. Coaching that brings calm to what feels impossible. A presence beside you when everything else feels like too much.
To me, death is a little like an airport terminal.
There’s uncertainty. Waiting. So many goodbyes. People coming and going. Some are ready, some are not. But no matter how different the paths, everyone boards eventually. The question is — have you packed what you need?
With Calm Endings, you’ll learn what to expect medically, emotionally, and spiritually. You’ll be guided through essential conversations, documents, and comfort care. And you’ll be gently held through the parts no one talks about — the ones that matter most.
This is not clinical care. I’m not here to treat you.
I’m here to walk beside you — with clarity, calm, and care.
Let’s bring intention to this last chapter. Let’s find peace in the preparation. Let’s make the goodbye as meaningful as the life that came before it.
You are not meant to carry this alone.
